Pet ER is a rapidly growing emergency, surgical, and critical care hospital serving Long Island’s veterinary community. We are seeking an exceptional Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or veterinary technician actively pursuing licensure and eligible for licensing who is passionate about emergency medicine and wants to practice at a high clinical level.

This is not a routine general practice position. Every day presents new challenges, advanced procedures, and opportunities to expand your technical skills while working directly alongside the attending emergency veterinarian.

  • Earn up to $45/hour, based on experience, emergency/critical care skillset, and technical proficiency.

Veterinary Technicians Pursuing Licensure


Candidates actively pursuing licensure and eligible for licensing are strongly encouraged to apply.

Upon successful licensure, your compensation will be immediately adjusted to the Licensed Veterinary Technician pay scale.

Unlike many hospitals where technicians are limited to routine tasks, our technicians are encouraged to develop advanced procedural, anesthesia, ICU, imaging, and emergency nursing skills while working side-by-side with the attending emergency veterinarian.
